In the middle of the century, Great Britain knew an important migratory flow of Irish, Jews, and Russian people, and it triggered an overpopulation in some districts, like White Chapel. Here, conditions of living were disastrous. Theft, violence, and alcoholism were common. Many women had to prostitute themselves to survive, so there were more than 1200 prostitutes and 63 brothels, in White Chapel. Also, its population was very anti-Semitic and racist. It was the home of immoralities.
