Rain, Steam and Speed
The Great Western Railway, 1844, by William Turner

This painting is an oil on canvas (91cm by 121cm) produced in 1844 by William Turner and which represents a train of the Great Western Railway, a British private railway company. The scene takes place on the Maiden Head Railway Bridge, across the Thames, between Taplow and MaidenHead. There is a lot of fog and we can not see the scene very well. But this fog is probably caused by the train.
